    Philadelphia Labor Day Weekend Update - Sat PM
    The weekend is looking better.

    Sun 9/4: Partly to mostly sunny, very warm and humid. High 87.

    Mon 9/5: Partly sunny very warm and humid. Increasing cloudiness in the afternoon. Showers at night. High 85..

    New NAM Weather Model rolling out Sept 20
    A significant advance in the NAM model (North American Mesoscale) will be rolled out as operational on Sept 20th. The model has been under development for some time and is being run as a parallel experimental NAM-B model. This model will continue to be named the NAM. The model will have higher resolution and many other improvements.n See link for details.

    Philadelphia Labor Day Weekend Update - Sat AM
    Please see my previous forecast discussion.

    Sat 9/3: Partly sunny, but periods of some cloudiness in the mid to late afternoon and a chance of brief, light showers, especially north of the city. Increasing humidity. High 85.

    Sun 9/4: Considerable cloudiness, some breaks of sun. Warm and humid. Chance of scattered showers and possible thunderstorms late in the afternoon, earlier west of PHL. High 86.

    Mon 9/5: Mostly cloudy. Very warm and humid. Showers and possible thunderstorms likely. High 83.
