Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast - Fri PM
A fast jet flow with a storm track just to our north will bring low pressure and associated frontal boundary through our area tonight (fri). The front will return as a warm front early Saturday morning and will stall barely north of us.
Weak disturbances and showers will develop along the warm boundary. Warm front locations are difficult to predict when stalled. The best guess is that we'll have rain Saturday morning, and breaks of sunshine possible mid afternoon and warmer temps later. Sunday will start partly

Philadelphia Weekend Weather Outlook - Wed AM
A fast jet flow with a storm track just to our north will bring a series of low pressure and associated frontal systems through our area over the next several days. An overall damp scenario is in store for us, especially if a frontal boundary stalls to our south, as depicted by the GFS model.
Depending upon the position of this stalled front, we may have showers this weekend; should the front stall further south, we'd be in the clear. The break in the clouds and dampness occurs during the night-time hours of Saturday, according to the GFS model.
Sat 4/23: Considerable cloudiness, chance of showers, especially far northern areas of Philadelphia. Partial clearing possible in the mid afternoon. High 67.
Sun 4/10: Partly cloudy early morning, increasing cloudiness with a chance of light showers in the afternoon. High 72

Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast - Fri PM
Approaching low pressure will deepen as it moves towards us on Saturday. The GFS andNAM models have a bullseye of very heavy rain over our area late Saturday afternoon and evening. Close to two inches rain is possible.
The only difference is that the NAM has us dry until the mid-afternoon while the GFS has some light sprinkles and showers as early as 9 AM. A difficult call on which is correct.
Clearing conditions on Sunday and breezy.
Sat 4/16: Cloudy and windy with light showers possible in the morning, becoming heavy rain late afternoon and evening. Windy. High 51.
Sun 4/17: Mostly sunny but few clouds at times. Breezy and cool. High 58.

Philadelphia Weather Outlook - Mon PM
This coming week shows the a return to cooler temperatures, as a frontal boundary stalls to our south and low pressure develops and lingers over us Tues and Wednesday.
Another frontal boundary will drop down at the end of the week as another low forms on it and lingers on Saturday with rain here. Things clear out on Sunday, but a lingering surface low and upper system will bring cool and unsettled weather for Sunday. Details later in the week.

Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast - Sun AM
A very tricky weather pattern has made coming up with a forecast quite difficult. On Friday, things looked a little more straight-forward, with a slowly moving warm front. Well, the exact position of the warm front is difficult to determine and warmer weather surface flow remains in the middle of the country, ahead of a strong low pressure system.
While the trend is towards warmer weather, it's now unclear whether the strong very warm surface flow will make it here, even on Monday. The models have already backed off from the predicted highs in the 80s on Monday, and the amount of cloud cover will affect how warm we get today and Monday.
Increased cloud cover will likely keep temps in the 70s instead of the previously predicted 80s on Monday. A very low confidence forecast for the next several days.
Sun 4/10: Mostly cloudy into early afternoon, some breaks of sun possible mid and late afternoon. High 65.

Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast - Fri PM
The models show a slowly advancing warm front causing the rain today (Friday). The main area of precipitation is expected to move north Friday night, and weak high pressure will bring nicer conditions on Saturday, but a persistent southeasterly flow and an additional area of moisture may allow clouds to return later on Saturday night and Sunday. Winds shift to the southwest and things warm up and clear out late Sunday.
Often, the models have trouble with the movement of warm fronts. It would not surprise me if Sunday is much sunnier and warmer than currently predicted. My forecast deviates from the current model prediction.
Sat 4/9: Partly sunny and warmer. High 60.
Sun 4/10: Some clouds early, then becoming mostly sunny and very warm. High in the 70s.

Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast - Fri PM
A cyclonic flow aloft will bring considerable cloudiness for Saturday and the slightest chance of a brief spit during Saturday afternoon. Most of the clouds will be mid-level, and a few sunny breaks are possible.
For Sunday, a system approaching from the west, along with a warm-frontal type boundary will bring increasing cloudiness Sunday afternoon with a chance of light rain Sunday night into Monday.
Sat 4/2: Considerable mid-level cloudiness, some sunny breaks possible. Chance of a light shower in the afternoon. Cool. High 55.
Sun 4/3: Sunny in the morning, increasing clouds in the afternoon. Some rain at night. High 56.
