Weekend Weather Update for Sat 4/30 and Sun 5/1
Positive changes in the forecast. The GFS has joined the ranks of the NOGAPS model, showing the precipitation for Saturday being sheared to our north and south. Considerably less rain expected, although some showers still expected for Saturday. Sunday looks good as high pressure builds in.

Sat 4/30: Partly cloudy in the morning, then cloudy with showers by the afternoon. High 64.

Sun 4/24: Mostly sunny. High upper 60s to near 70.

Weekend Weather for Sat 4/30 and Sun 5/1
The latest GFS still has significant rains for Saturday as low pressure approaches from the west. A break is expected Sunday, before another disturbance approaches from the south Sunday evening. We'll see if the timing changes, as it did last weekend. Until then, we'll go with the forecast below:

Sat 4/30: Cloudy with rain, possibly heavy. High in the low 60s.

Sun 4/24: A mix of sun and clouds in the morning. Increasing cloudiness in the afternoon. Some showers possible late afternoon or evening. High 67.

Weekend Weather Outlook 4/30 and 5/1
Another unsettled period for the upcoming weekend. Low pressure is expected to track just to our south on Saturday, giving us rain. Another disturbance approaches on Sunday. Exact timing of these disturbances will likely change during the week.

Sat 4/30: Cloudy with a chance of rain. High in the low 60s.

Sun 4/24: A mix of clouds and some sun. Some showers possible. Details uncertain at this time. High in the 60s.

    Weekend Weather Update- Sat
Rain for today, but not necessarily as much as previously expected. Sunday continues to look drier, with breaks of sun possible, especially in the morning. The GFS rotates the precipitation far to our west, around the upper closed low.

Sat 4/23: Cloudy, breezy and rainy throughout most of the day. High in the mid 60s.

Sun 4/24: A mix of clouds and sun. A brief shower is possible, especially in the afternoon, due to the instability resulting from the upper low parked over us. Most of the day dry. Breezy. High near 60

    Weekend Weather Update
No significant changes from the previously posted forecast below. Sunday is looking dryer; the GFS rotates the precipitation far to our west, around the upper closed low. The fine details of closed lows are not handled well by the models, so confidence isn't exceptionally high.

Sat 4/23: Cloudy, breezy and rainy throughout most of the day. High in the mid 60s.

Sun 4/24: A mix of clouds and some sun. A shower is possible at any time, due to the instability resulting from the upper low parked over us. Most of the day dry. Breezy. High upper 50s to near 60.

Weekend Weather for Sat 4/23 and Sun 4/24
The latest model has the upper trough (low) closing off over us, becoming a closed low, a common occurrence in the Spring. Unfortunately, that means that rain will linger through Saturday, and unsettled and cool conditions for Sunday as well.

Sat 4/23: Cloudy, breezy and rainy in the morning; some letup possible mid-day, then more rain and showers in the afternoon. High in the mid 50s.

Sun 4/24: Uncertain forecast; best guess is a mix of clouds and some sun. Showers possible as well, but not a rainout. High upper 50s to near 60.

Weekend Weather for Sat 4/23 and Sun 4/24
The forecast for the upcoming weekend continues to change and evolve. While yesterday's GFS had things moving through here quickly, the latest model has the upper trough (low) closing off over us, a common occurrence in the Spring. Unfortunately, that means that rain will linger through Saturday, and unsettled and cool conditions for Sunday as well. We may get a break on Sunday, with even some bright skies and sun, but impossible to call at this time. I'll update again tomorrow.

Sat 4/23: Cloudy, breezy and rainy in the morning; some letup possible mid-day, then more rain and showers in the afternoon. High in the mid 50s.

Sun 4/24: Sunny, breezy and milder. High near 63.

Weekend Weather for Sat 4/23 and Sun 4/24
Latest GFS has a deep upper trough and deep low pressure moving through early Saturday morning. Rain could be over by mid morning. Cloudy, windy conditions and cooler temps for the rest of the day. Sunday should be sunny and a bit milder. Timing of the rain on Saturday continues to change.

Sat 4/23: Cloudy with rain ending in the morning. Could end as early as 9 or 10AM. Then cloudy, windy and cool. High upper 50s.

Sun 4/24: Sunny, breezy and milder. High near 63.

The models continue to change, with a deep trough developing in the east and possible showers on Saturday. Cooler temps. Still much uncertainty in the forecast.

Sat 4/23: Cloudy with a chance of showers. Cooler. High upper 50s.

Weekend Weather for Sat 4/23 and Sun 4/24
Today's GFS model has low pressure approaching us Saturday afternoon into Sunday with possibly heavy rain on Sunday. This time period is a good ways off, so we'll likely need to update the forecast during the week.

Sat 4/23: Sunny in the morning, some increase in cloudiness in the afternoon. High in the low 70s.

Sun 4/24: Cloudy with a chance of rain. High near 60.

Weekend Weather Sat 4/16 and Sun 4/17

The models are consistent in predicting high pressure building in from the northeast and dominating our area for the next several days, (if not longer!) A wonderful break from the previous very wet pattern we experienced for so long. Perhaps this will extend into the summer? The temperatures have been running higher than model guidance, so we'll push them up for the weekend. Enjoy!

Sat 4/16: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High near 68.

Sun 4/17: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High near 74.

Weekend Weather Sat 4/16 and Sun 4/17
High pressure is still expected to build in from the northeast as a low pressure system stays offshore. Clear skies are predicted by the models, but there's always a possiblity of some clouds due to a northeasterly flow.

Sat 4/16: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High near 60.

Sun 4/17: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High near 66.

Weekend Weather Sat 4/16 and Sun 4/17
Another nice upcoming weekend shaping up. High pressure will be over us for Saturday, as low pressure systems move to our south. Temps will be cooler than this past weekend. Occasionally in these situations, an easterly flow develops, giving us more cloud cover than we expect, but right now, the models are showing fair skies.

Sat 4/16: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High near 62.

Sun 4/17: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High in the low 65.

Weekend Weather Sat 4/16 and Sun 4/17
Interesting weather for the upcoming weekend where high pressure will actually build in from the east in the form of back door cold fronts. This sort of retrograde system is difficult to forecast, but the latest GFS has us sunny and seasonable for the upcoming weekend. Look for changes during the week.

Sat 4/16: Mostly sunny. High near 63.

Sun 4/17: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High in the low 60s.

    Weather Update- Sunday
For today, Sunday, high pressure will give us another day of ideal weather for early April. High near 70.

A back-door cold front will give us an easterly flow with varying clouds for early in the week. Low pressure systems are supposed to pass to our south for most of the week giving us dry conditions.

For next weekend, unsettled conditions, clouds. I'll update the forecast in the next day or so.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. High near 60.

Sunday: A question about the cloudiness, but most of the models keep us clear. High in the mid 60s.
