Weekend Weather Outlook- Thur AM Update
A slow moving frontal system with a wave of low pressure riding up along the front will push through on Saturday. Earlier models had suggested that the precip would be over Saturday morning, but last night's model runs showed showers lingering through much of the morning on Saturday with slow clearing in the afternoon. It's not yet certain whether the sun will make it out at all on Saturday.

    Sunday looks nice.

Sat 4/5: Rain early tapers to light showers in the morning ending about noon, later to the south and east. Clouds may break for some sun late in the afternoon. High 56

Sun 4/6: Sunny skies. Temps close to 60.

Weekend Weather Forecast- Saturday evening update
High pressure continues to dominate our weather for Sunday, but moisture streaming ahead of an approaching low pressure system may result in some high and middle level cloudiness during the day on Sunday. Lower level clouds move in during the early evening.

Sun 3/30: Partly sunny/partly cloudy, with scattered mid to high level clouds especially during the early afternoon hours. High 51.

Weekend Weather Outlook- Tues Eve Update
A fast flow from west to east, with an air mass boundary located in our neck of the woods will bring disturbances across our area on Thursday and Friday.

Currently, the models have things quieting down over the weekend (Saturday), but additional disturbances may disrupt the weather for Sunday with showers.

This fast flow scenario will be difficult to predict with high accuracy in advance. It's too early to provide specifics for the weekend.

Weekend Weather Outlook- Fri Afternoon Update
The clipper disturbance continues to be forecast to affect our area Saturday morning. Both the NAM and GFS have light precip (less than 0.07 inches water) falling during the morning, then drying out in the afternoon. Temps in the upper atmosphere will be cold enough for it to fall as light snow. It appears that it will be cloudy for much of the day.

Clearing conditions, mostly sunny on Sunday.

Sat 3/22: Cloudy with light rain mixed with wet snow in the morning, ending about noon. High 44.

Sun 3/23: Mostly sunny. High 48.

    Weekend Weather Outlook- Thurs PM
The clipper disturbance is looking less impressive for Saturday. The latest NAM cranks out just a spit (0.02 inches water). The earlier GFS model had more precip for us.

Some cloudiness may linger on Sunday.

Sat 3/22: Mostly cloudy with a chance of a very light shower late morning. Most of the day dry. High mid to upper 40s.

Sun 3/23: Breezy, partly cloudy, perhaps with some sunny breaks, and chilly. High 48.

    Weekend Weather Outlook- Thurs AM
A clipper-like disturbance will pass through Friday night through Saturday. Most of the precipitation associated with this disturbance will pass to our south, but we will be on the northern fringe of this shield. Temperatures in the upper atmosphere will be cold enough for some of this precip to fall as light wet snow.

    Clouds may linger on Sunday.

Sat 3/22: Cloudy with light rain or rain/snow showers possible throughout the dy. High 43.

Sun 3/23: Breezy, mostly cloudy, perhaps with some sunny breaks, and chilly. High 48.

    Week Weather Outlook- Sunday PM
The sun took its time breaking through this afternoon; significant low level moisture resulted in more clouds than expected.

For this week, another deep low pressure system with abundant Gulph of Mexico moisture will give us heavy rains late Tuesday night through Wednesday. Flooding again a possibility for later Wednesday.

Things clear on Thursday, but windy and cooler temps follow. Friday and Saturday look tranquil, but another storm approaches during the day on Sunday, potentially with heavy rains Sunday night. Too early to say for sure.

    Weekend Weather Forecast- Thurs PM
Today's models (and tonight's latest NAM model) are similar, in that they predict several areas of deep low pressure system to develop along an advancing cold front for Friday afternoon into Saturday evening.

At least two separate areas of low pressure will ride up this frontal boundary, the first one giving us very heavy rains starting mid to late afternoon on Friday into Friday night and another giving us heavy rains on Saturday. As much as 2-3 inches of rain will fall during this period, and areas of flooding are likely on Saturday.

Cold air rushed in Saturday night with the rain possibly changing to light snow. Little or no accumulation is currently expected.

Things get blustery and cold on Sunday.

Sat 3/8: Cloudy, windy, with rain, likely heavy, for much of the day. Rain changes to snow showers late Saturday night. High 51.

Sun 3/9:Clouds break early for mostly sunny skies, very windy and colder. High 43.
