Weekend Weather Outlook- Wed AM
It's hard to believe, but the models are showing a dry and sunny Labor Day weekend from Saturday through Monday. I don't think I've ever seen a fully dry, nice Labor Day weekend. As they used to say on Saturday Night Live, "there's always something." :-) But right now, all looks real nice.

Weekend Weather Forecast- Sun AM

Sun 8/26: Mostly cloudy. Chance of a light spit. Humid, high in the low 80s. Thunderstorms develop during the evening, especially from Philly, south and east.

Weekend Weather Forecast- Sat PM
A weak cold front will very slowly pass through late tonight into Sunday. Moisture at all levels of the atmosphere will cause considerable cloudiness for Sunday. There will likely be some bright spots or breaks of sun during the day, but mostly cloudy should capture it.
As for precipitation, there's a chance of light scattered showers in the morning. The GFS continues with light precipitation, but the NAM has most of the shower activity later in the afternoon and evening.
Sun 8/26: Mostly cloudy, with some occasional bright spots/maybe some sun early afternoon. Light scattered showers around mid morning, then mostly cloudy as above. Humid, high in the mid to upper 80s. Showers later in the afternoon and evening.

Weekend Weather Outlook- Fri PM
High humidity will be with us through much of Sunday. Moisture at upper levels will cause varying amounts of cloudiness at mid and high levels, reducing the potential high temperatures.
A weak cold front will move through late Saturday night into Sunday and may stall near Delaware and Cape May. Low pressure waves forming on the front may produce some locally heavy rain Sunday night.
Most of the weekend will be dry during the daytime. It's not clear how prevalent the showers will be with the stalled front on Sunday.
Sat 8/25: Some clouds until mid morning, then partly sunny, hot and very humid. High 94. Chance of a shower at night
Sun 8/26: A mix of clouds and some sun, as a front moves through. A chance of a shower, but most of the day dry until the late afternoon. Humid, with a high in the upper 80s. Degree of cloudiness and amount of showers not a certainty.

Weekend Weather Outlook- Fri AM
Hot air returns to our area this weekend, with the humidity being most prominent
There are differences in the models for the weekend, as the GFS is much hotter temp wise, while the NAM is more humid with somewhat less extreme temps.
Also differences in cloud cover, with the GFS having more sun, while the NAM has more haze and clouds. A weak cold front moves through Saturday night, possibly stalling. I'm leaning towards the NAM this weekend.
Sat 8/25: A mix of clouds and some sun, hazy, hot and very humid. High 96. Chance of a shower at night.
Sun 8/26: A mix of clouds and some sun, as a front moves through. A chance of a shower, but most of the day dry. Humid, with a high 89. Amount of cloudiness not certain at this time.

Weekend Weather Outlook- Wed PM
This unusual prolonged wet easterly flow in August is expected to dissipate, as high pressure builds in and winds shift to the southwest.
A weak pattern for the coming weekend, as a cold front is expected to fall apart as it moves through Saturday night and Sunday. A mix of clouds and sun with a chance of a shower this weekend, although the models aren't particularly wet.
Sat 8/25: Partly sunny, very hot and very humid. High mid 90s. Chance of a shower at night
Sun 8/26: A mix of clouds and some sun, as a front moves through. A chance of a shower, but most of the day dry. Humid, with a high in the 80s. Amount of cloudiness not certain at this time.

Weekend Weather Forecast- Sun AM
The models blew it this weekend, as both the GFS and NAM failed to accurately predict the return of moisture to our area on Sunday with the stalled front. (I had some suspicion of this with Friday's forecast, but I went along with the models for Saturday's forecast, despite the GFS showing significant moisture return on Sunday.)
Sun 8/19: Cloudy with showers during the day and heavier rain and possibly a thunderstorm at night. High in the 60s!

Weekend Weather Forecast- Sat AM
High pressure has built in today, with cool temperatures and low humidity. The frontal boundary that passed through yesterday has stalled to our south and will be the focal point for low pressure systems to develop and pass through starting Sunday night.
The latest GFS has significant moisture moving back in during the day on Sunday, with cloudiness increasing.
Sat 8/18: Mostly sunny and pleasant. High near 80.
Sun 8/19: Some sun early, then increasingly cloudy during the morning hours. Most of the day is now looking considerably cloudy. High upper 70s.

Weekend Weather Forecast- Fri PM
High pressure builds in for Saturday, but begins drifting off to the northeast during Sunday. The frontal boundary that passed through this evening returns as a warm/stationary front late on Sunday, bringing a chance of showers late Sunday or Sunday night. Some uncertainty about when the moisture will return.
Sat 8/18: Mostly sunny and pleasant. High near 80.
Sun 8/19: Sunny in the morning, some cloudiness starts moving in during the afternoon. Chance of showers late. High 85.

The cold front moved through and much cooler air has flowed in behind the front. Some instability clouds on Saturday, as cool air aloft may cause cloud formation. Much warmer temperatures return for Sunday.
Sat 8/11: Sunny early, then a mix of clouds and sun. Cooler! High 80.
Sun 8/12: Sunny and seasonably warm. High 88.

Weather Outlook- Wed AM
Today's GFS MOS predicts a high temp of 102. The Eta-MOS predicts a high of 98. High temps, close to 100 is a good bet for Wednesday.
(The models didn't necessarily predict the rain this morning. We'll see how they do wit the tempertures.)
The weekend is looking dry and partly sunny. Temps in the 80s.

Weather Outlook- Sunday Early PM
A more interesting pattern this week, as a frontal boundary that moved through on Saturday will be a focal point for wave development and will be moving back up as a warm front on Monday.
The models all have rain and possible thunderstorms developing late Sunday night into Monday morning. Dewpoints rise to the uncomfortable lower 70s later tonight after an earlier pleasant evening.
More showers expected on Wednesday and Friday. Next weekend might be wet, as the GFS creates a coastal low. Too far away to hang your hat on next weekend's forecast.

Change in the Forecast- Fri PM
The latest GFS and NAM model now downplays the wave that is forecasted to develop along the front on Sunday. Sunday looks much better, with any showers waiting for evening.
Sat 8/4: Partly sunny and hot. High 97
Sun 8/5: A mix of clouds and sun. Less hot. Chance of showers during the evening hours. High 89.

A change in the forecast for this weekend, as a front will move through on Saturday and then stall to our south. Low pressure will develop along the front in the midwest and move along it, bringing showers to us Sunday afternoon.

Sun 8/5: Becoming mostly cloudy in the morning. Showers in the afternoon. High 81.
