Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast - Fri PM
Extremely moist air over our area now interact with an approaching frontal passage Fri evening, with low pressure possibly developing along the front. The NAM cranks out almost 3 inches of rain directly over Philadelphia, but the GFS model has the heaviest rain to our south and only cranks out less than 1/2 inch water.

The High Resolution Rapid Refresh Model has moderately heavy rains for us, while the experimental NAM keeps some of the heavier rain in the Washington DC area.

Such differences between the NAM and GFS models always reduces confidence in the forecast, but I'm going with the NAM model and the likelihood of flooding type rains through 9 or 10 this evening.

High pressure builds in for the weekend with still warm to hot temps (near 90) and lower dewpoints in the mid to low 60s.

Sat 7/9: Becoming sunny, very warm and less humid. High near 90.

Sun 7/10: Sunny and continued very warm. High near 90
