Philadelphia Weekend Weather Update - Fri PM
Latest HRRR model has freezing rain for Philadelphia north and west from 6 AM through 10 AM. Then all rain. The latest GFS has rain changing to snow Saturday evening with maybe a coating or inch possible when it ends around midnight as temps drop below freezing.

Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast- Fri AM
Yet another [weaker] low pressure system will affect our weather this weekend!

A coastal low will move just east of us on Saturday. The thermal profiles of the NAM FOUS data have changed a bit and are somewhat warmer. It's again showing upper air temps too warm for snow. The precip may start as light snow before daybreak Saturday, but will quickly change to sleet and then rain. Areas north and west of the city may have freezing rain on sidewalks and other surfaces. Road surfaces will be mostly wet. The precip changes back to light snow Saturday evening. Little or accumulation is now expected.

More storms on the way for next week, both Tuesday and a potential significant storm next Thurs. Stay tuned!

Sat 2/5: Rain and some freezing rain from the city far north and west. High 34. Changes back to light snow in the evening. Little or no accumulation expected.

Sun 2/6: Mostly sunny and cold. High 39 (Normal high is 41)
