Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast- Thur PM
Yet another [weaker] low pressure system will affect our weather this weekend!

A coastal low will move just east of us on Saturday. The thermal profiles of the NAM FOUS data did well with the precipitation type this past Tuesday. It's again showing upper air temps too warm for snow, but temps in the lower atmosphere supporting sleet and freezing rain. The precip may start as snow before daybreak Saturday, but will quickly change to sleet and freezing rain. According to the NAM, temps will struggle to get above freezing, causing some ice and freezing rain during the day. Road surfaces will be mostly wet. The precip changes back to snow before ending, giving us an inch or two by Sunday morning.

More storms on the way for next week, both Tuesday and a potential significant storm next Thurs. Stay tuned!

Sat 2/5: Sleet and freezing rain from the city north and west. High 34. Changes back to snow in the evening, 1-2 inches snow possible by Sunday morning.

Sun 2/6: Mostly sunny breezy and cold. High 38.
