Philadelphia Weekend Weather Forecast- Fri PM
No change in the forecast- The models have been consistent with the forecast for the weekend. The basic scenario involves the development of a sharp upper air trough in the Great Lakes area, causing the passage of a cold front on Friday. Surface low pressure develops along the upper trough, giving rain for Saturday. The upper trough lifts out late Sunday. According to the GFS model, the rain ends early Sunday afternoon, remaining mostly cloudy, perhaps some bright spots in the afternoon. (The NAM has rain lingering into the evening. I'm going with the GFS.)
Sat 10/17: Cloudy with rain, moderately heavy at times. Breezy and cold. High 42.
Sun 10/18:Cloudy with showers and damp in the morning, showers end early afternoon. Possible bright spots in the afternoon. Breezy, cold. High 45
