Philadelphia Weekend Weather UPDATE -Sat PM
The front eventually moved through. I wasn't too impressed with the model forecast for today; the models really had precip ending very early and clearing much earlier than what happened. (The NAM MOS was pretty good suggesting higher POPs until afternoon.) Tomorrow looks better, as high pressure builds in. There's a strong jet flow from the southwest which will bring in high cirrus clouds at times.

Just want to mention that the long range weather pattern looks fairly cold, with deep upper air troughs developing the end of this week and next week. Check my solar-climate prediction below. Things remain quiet, solar-wise.

Sun 10/11: Mostly sunny, some high clouds. High 69.

    UPDATE -Sat AM
Some showers developing over us, behind the front (anticipated by the NAM MOS, but not the GFS) will delay clearing until at least 2 PM. Much more shower activity than had been expected last night by either of the models, although the NAM MOS did suggest high POPs through 2 PM.

Let's see how long it takes to clear today.

Philadelphia Weekend Weather UPDATE -Sat AM
The front continues to move through central PA and will move rapidly through later this morning. Windy conditions will accompany the frontal passage. A brief shower is possible. The clearing that was expected will be delayed to about 12-1 PM. High pressure for Sunday.

Sat 10/10: A brief shower, then clouds break for some sun through some middle and high clouds about noon. Broken clouds and sunny skies remain for much of the day. High 69

Sun 10/11: Mostly sunny. High 70.
