Snow for Wed - Tues PM Update
The latest NAM just became available.

It shows 0.16 inches water total, starting about 7-8 AM and tapering after 1 PM. Total snow accumulation 1-3 inches on grassy surfaces, with the lower end of the spectrum most likely.

Solar insolation on dark roadways will reduce the impact on travel.

A warm up is expected for the weekend, but likely with clouds and there's a chance of showers, especially on Sunday.

Snow for Wed - Tues AM Update
The trends for the Alberta clipper expected for Wednesday:

Both models have decreased the amounts of snow. QPF values (Quantity of Precip Falling) range from 0.25 water (NAM) to 0.19 (GFS). Because temps will be very low, snow - water ratio will be high, perhaps as high as 20:1. (That's where the 2-4 inches predicted by Accuweather if coming from.) With the current trends, I'm going with 1-3 inches, mostly on grassy surfaces. There will be melting on many roadways during the day due to solar insolation.

There are some timing differences between the GFS and NAM. The GFS has snow starting in the morning, while the NAM has more snow in the afternoon. Either way, the models tend to overpredict Alberta Clippers, so I don't think this will be any more than 1-3 inches.

A warm up is expected for the weekend, but likely with clouds and there's a chance of showers, especially on Sunday.
