Updated Outlook in green boxed text

The pattern of very dry weather may be finally ending over the next week.

Luckily, next Saturday looks to be sunny and dry.  Sunday may have clouds.

But, before we get to the upcoming weekend…

A cold front associated with a low pressure system near the Great Lakes will move through on Wednesday afternoon.  The models have been cranking out  heavy rain: 1 – 1.5 inches for the immediate Philadelphia area during Wednesday afternoon and early evening.

A dry period from Thursday through Sunday follows with moderating temperatures.

Wednesday Update: A coastal low, previously expected to scoot out to our east, may bring clouds and some rain (in NJ) on Sunday, according to the latest GFS model.

More rain early next week.

In the extended range GFS forecast, very cold weather (for October) may arrive a few days before Halloween.
