An approaching weak cold front will affect our weather this weekend. The latest satellite imagery and GFS model shows a strong water vapor track originating from far away hurricane Patricia which is being swept up with the approaching frontal boundary, expected to move through early Sunday morning.
Due to this upper air moisture track, there will be significant mid-level cloudiness Saturday, probably making Saturday mostly cloudy and cool. Highs near 59.
Showers late Saturday night as the front moves through. Sunday will start cloudy, clouds should thin during the afternoon with sunshine mid to late afternoon. Mild Sunday with temperatures near 66, despite the “cold” front.
The presence of hurricane Patricia can affect the model forecast in unanticipated ways. So stay tuned. The actual deep moisture of Patricia will affect us on Wednesday.
