Weather features are three-dimensional and many circulations and most features occur at various vertical levels above the ground/earth surface.

Mid-level — Pertaining to the middle levels of the atmosphere between 700 mb (~10,000 feet) to 500 mb (~18,000 feet).

Mid-level clouds are usually of the altocumulus and altostratus cloud types.
