Heavier Thunderstorms last night- Clearing coming

The NAM model was a bit off last night.  The thunderstorms that passed through last night were heavier than forecast; they also passed through somewhat earlier than forecast.

The clearing that was expected mid morning is  on its way, closer to 11 AM  in the city and later in NJ.   Instead of full sunny skies (as forecast by the GFS and NAM), it looks like Saturday will have a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon.

Another Beautiful Weekend

A cold front will move through the area before daybreak on Saturday. Heavy showers now in central Pennsylvania should weaken as they approach Philadelphia and move through about 5 am.

Saturday will start with some lingering clouds very early  but the sun should come out by mid morning.  Lowering humidity during the day with high temperatures near 81.

Sunday will be sunny and pleasant with highs approaching 80. Some cloudiness moves in Sunday evening as rain is expected for much of Monday.
