An upper air cyclonic flow has been providing the low humidity and cool conditions we’ve been enjoying.
The upper air low in Canada has re-established itself again, similar to last weekend, and it will rotate small disturbances (areas of vorticity) through our area on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday evening update in italics below-
For Saturday, a disturbance rotates through early Saturday morning with some clouds and a chance of a brief shower before 9 AM. showers may linger until 11 am. Skies clear quickly later in the morning and much of the day will be mostly sunny and pleasant. High near 75.
Fri evening: Updated Sunday cloud forecast below-
Sunday starts with midlevel cloudiness, Sunday starts sunny and dry, but clouds thicken during the afternoon, as another disturbance rotates through later on Sunday. This disturbance will induce the development of a diffuse surface low that will bring scattered showers for late Sunday afternoon and evening. High 80.
As was the case last weekend, timing and intensity of upper air features are difficult for the models to get exactly right. Expect some updates.
A cool, unsettled and showery period of weather is expected for the coming week.
