CMC= Canadian Meteorological Center.
The CMC produces several models, the GDPS (also called the CMC Global) which is similar to our GFS model in coverage and forecast range. Only run twice daily.
The CMC Regional GEM. (GEM= Global Environmental Model) is a higher resolution North American Model run 4x daily. Comparable somewhat to our NAM.
Also an statistical “ensemble” model called the CMC GEPS, similar to our GEFS.
Finally, a high resolution model, the HRDPS.
