Canadian RGEM – Canadian Global Regional “GEM” model- (“Global Environmental Multiscale”) is similar to the Canadian Global GEM but it covers the region of North America.
The RGEM is also known as the “Regional Deterministic Prediction System”, – RDPS.
It has a horizontal resolution of 10 Kilometers.
The model is run every 6 hours — 4 times daily at 00z 06z 12z and 18z. It forecasts in 1 hour increments and its forecasts extend out 84 hours, similar to our NAM model.
