Showers Saturday and Sunny Sunday

A cold front approaches the area on Saturday. Mostly cloudy conditions with some bright spots and maybe some breaks of sunshine in the morning.  (The GFS has a chance of a light shower in the morning.)  As we approach noontime, scattered showers are expected to break out and increase in areal coverage during the afternoon. Some thunderstorms also possible, especially late afternoon.   It will be humid with high temperatures around 86.

The cold front moves through Saturday evening.  This “cold front” is really a wind shift and drop in dew points.  Sunday will be mostly sunny, less humid and a bit warmer.  High 88.

Rain ends Early Saturday – A nice weekend on tap

Previous model runs had the tropical moisture and cold front lingering over much of Saturday.   The forecast has changed appreciably over today and the rain and cold front are expected to move through by 8-9 AM on Saturday.  Skies are expected to clear shortly afterwards, so an over-all fair and pleasant Saturday is on tap after an early cloudy and damp start.   High temperatures will be in the mid 80s with lowering dew points as the day proceeds.

For Sunday, high pressure will be in control with sunny skies, comfortable dew points and high temperatures near 84.
