High pressure over our area will bring sunny skies and cooler temperatures (although still above average) on Saturday. High temperature about 55.
The high will retreat to the northeast late Saturday, allowing an easterly flow to develop. Some cloudiness develops late Saturday afternoon.
The easterly flow will combine with moisture from the south, giving us a cloudy Sunday with a good chance of rain for much of the day. Forecast High 54. (It wouldn’t surprise me if tempertures struggle to hit 50.)
Let it be noted that on March 7th, Adam Joseph and Cecily Tynan declared that winter is over and it won’t snow again this season. That’s a bold prediction, not supported by the current extended GFS model.
A deep upper air trough over our area Saturday will bring cold temperatures. High on Saturday about 42. A weak area of vorticity will approach our area, causing cloudiness to increase by Saturday afternoon.
A chance of a snow shower or flurry very early Sunday morning, then partial clearing with a mix of sun and clouds. High 45.
